One killed, two wounded in clashes between Ugandan and South Sudanese soldiers in contested border area

One South Sudan People's Defense Forces SSPDF soldier has been killed and two others wounded in clashes between Uganda and South Sudanese soldiers in a contested border area. The two armies clashed on Saturday after the Ugandan People’s Defense Forces, UPDF, allegedly encroached into Magwi County in Eastern Equatoria State and tried to establish a barracks in the area. The Commissioner of Magwi County, Otto David, says the incident has caused worry to farmers who are cultivating in the area. 

Commissioner Otto, however, says calm as returned to the area. He further called on the national government to intervene.
