Star Trek Strange New Worlds - Bruce Horak Interview

Bruce Horak is the first legally blind actor with a lead role in Star Trek. He plays Chief Engineer Hemmer of the USS Enterprise in the new series, Star Trek - Strange New Worlds, a prequel to the original series of Star Trek available on Paramount+ in the UK

In part 1 Bruce tells Robert Kirkwood about losing his vision at a very young age to cancer, how his family fought to save his remaining sight, and attending mainstream school in Canada. 

In part 2 , Bruce tells Robert Kirkwood about the play that inspired him to write and perform, how he rejected and then embraced a white cane and how he became an in demand portrait painter
