Hood Made: How Experience Builds Empathy

With this new series, you find that this episode helps us to reflect on some of the experiences we had being raised in the hood. I share my experience with community violence, gun violence, police brutality, and the beauty/ creativity that comes from these communities. Sharing my own personal experiences with oppression faced here, might open up the conversations needed for us to begin to have as a community. The validation can help us to recognize that this internalized oppression, might be more of a systematic one. Listen to hear more.
