RNIB Connect Radio Launches New Music Show - All That Jazz with Katriona Taylor

RNIB Connect Radio will be launching a new hour long jazz music show presented by visually impaired jazz singer and songwriter Katriona Taylor on Tuesday 2 August 2022 at 8pm with ‘All That Jazz with Katriona Taylor’ which will be the first of a summer season of six of Katriona’s  jazz shows with more to come later in the year.

Katriona was diagnosed at the age of 7 with Stargardt’s disease, she navigated her way through mainstream education, studied law and practiced as a London City solicitor. Although having started a very successful career as a Solicitor in London something was missing in her life and that something was music!

Katriona made a radical career change and discovered a talent for singing and song writing. She gained a Masters in acting & singing at London’s Royal Central School of Speech & Drama, before being propelled onto the UK jazz scene — and the rest is history!

RNIB Connect Radio’s Allan Russell caught up with Katriona to find out more about her background, getting into Jazz after being a Lawyer in London for a few years and the types of Jazz music that will be featured in her new RNIB Connect Radio music show ‘All That Jazz with Katriona Taylor’.
