One of the biggest impacts we can have on others is by serving as a “milestone person”, meaning that we set an example for others to follow and eventually surpass. Dan had been helping countless other charities raise money through events, but not getting to see the impact for himself, so he decided to start his own charity and use that organization as an example for other people to follow. Not only that, but we can use the Stage Theory to raise awareness for causes, rather than looking for clout for doing good deeds.
