Fishing LOZ with Big Ed Franko

Episode 119,   Jul 20, 2022, 07:00 AM

Big Ed Franko has fished the famed Lake of the Ozarks for decades. He’s been guiding for about 15 years, and is one of the most liked guides on the lake.

Big Ed can find the fish. He has a lot of experience on the lake and has kept records of when, where and how he caught fish. Today he also has the latest electronics to rely on. The combination of great electronics and years of experience ensures that Ed’s clients are going to catch fish.

I spent some time on LOZ with Big Ed recently. We dodged the rain and three of us put 150 bass in the boat in 4 hours. We fished finesse worms along a steep bluff bank with current. The action was non-stop.

The following day we fished a long point across the lake from the previous day and caught dozens of bigger bass, up to 5lbs., before the weather blew us off the lake.
