Movement routine to nurture our nervous system

Why is keeping our spine moving so important for our longevity, emotional and mental health?
Our spinal cord protects our nervous system and acts as an informations transmitter system that allows us to support our bodily functions, regulate our nervous system, support our immune system besides it’s structural function of our body. When we speak of self care, we introduce practitioners to the first layer which is the physical one and reconnect them with their breath and sensations in their body to then go into the subtler realms of our self care practice that directly deals with the mental and emotional layers. However, all these layers are intertwined and the movement of the spine in a daily routine is the first step towards wellbeing.
