Welcome to episode 56 of Shea Butter FC, and podcast by, for and about Black women in soccer featuring your hosts, Skye and Sylvs. In this special episode, we interview the Queen of the Fade Away Header, Simone Charley of Angel City FC . In our first segment, we delve into ‘Brown Sugar but Soccer” to find out what made Simone fall in love with soccer, and explore her life as a two sport athlete living in Hoover, Alabama and her journey to Vanderbilt University. Then in Lights Camera Action, we look back at some of Simone’s career so far, and her expectations playing at Angel City FC. In the segment, Get Ya Fits Right, we explore the intersection of Black culture and soccer to get some of Simone’s perspective on a variety of things from kits on the field to vibes in the stands. Lastly, in Shea Butter Freestyle, we take a deep dive into more of Simone’s passions, favorite foods, and her spin on Hits and Rifts! Get comfortable and come vibe! This interview was amazing ,and will leave you refreshed and moisturized!
