Episode 48,   Oct 20, 2022, 08:58 PM

This is a creativity and history podcast. And so much more!

Today I speak to Shareesa Valentine - actor and star of the excellent play ‘Forgotten Voices’- about the life of the trade unionist Eva Moorhead Kadalie, of whom the play is about. We talk about Eva, grandmother of podcast friend and play writer David Moorhead, and what it was like to be the sole star of the play. We also chat about Shareesa’s nomination for Best Female Actor at the Black British Theatre Awards on the back of her stunning performance as Eva, other roles she has had, the rewards and challenges of acting as a career and the importance of history. And a lot else!!!

Check out the website for information about the excellent play – forgottenvoices.info
