Chief Executive of Bradford Teaching Hospitals Mel Pickup, chats to James Morgan and Karen Piotr. James is a Consultant in Intensive Care & Clinical Lead for Organ Donation. Karen is Chair of the BTHFT Organ Donation Committee.
James describes how his work as a Junior Doctor in A&E inspired his work on organ donation and Karen shares the story of the tragic death of her husband, Mark, in 2017. Mark's organs went on to help nine recipients and led Karen to become an advocate for organ donation.
