FAO urges investment in plant protection to increase food productivity

The UN Food and Agriculture Organization – FAO, is calling on the public and private sector to invest in crop protection in an effort to boost food productivity in the country. The call is aimed at strengthening the country’s agricultural sector as donors shift support from humanitarian to development. FAO Country Representative, Meshak Malo says South Sudan has a potential to produce enough food if all the necessary conditions are met.
