The Moscow Murders & Delphi Updates

Dec 07, 2022, 05:00 AM

On November 13, 2022, four University students in Moscow, Idaho returned to their off-campus home after a big night out.  By around 3am, Kaylee GonCalves (21) and Madison Mogen (21) were asleep in the same room on the 3rd floor of the home.  Xana Kernodle (20) and her boyfriend Ethan Chapin (20) were asleep on the floor below.

What happened next is still unknown.  But at 11.58am on that day, a 911 call was made for an ‘Unconscious Person.’  When police arrived, they found a crime scene that has been described as one of the most gruesome ever encountered.  Kaylee, Maddie, Xana and Ethan were dead – brutally stabbed to death.  The coroner has said that all of them were likely asleep when they were attacked.

We are now at almost a month after the murders and nobody has been arrested.

Join us for this episode of the True Crime Society Podcast as we discuss the Moscow, Idaho murders.  This case is one of the most chaotic that we have ever come across.

If you would like to skip straight to the content, please go to around 8 minutes in.

You can read our blog for this case –

Please note that at the time of recording and episode release, police had not identified a single suspect in the case.  We have only discussed those named publicly in the media.  If and when the time arises, and suspect/s are identified, we will delve into their stories comprehensively.

It was a big week in true crime – in this episode, we also discuss the probable cause document that was released in the Delphi, Indiana murder case.  Richard Allen has recently been arrested for the 2017 murders of Liberty German and Abigail Williams.  The probable cause document indicates that Richard was known to be at the scene of the murders on the day that the girls died and that a bullet from his gun was found at the scene.
