St. Andrews, Nova Scotia played host to the provincial gathering of the Gaelic Council of Nova Scotia on May 26th, 2012. The event coinciding with Gaelic Awareness month in Nova Scotia There were several workshops, including a roundtable discussion where Gaelic speakers shared experiences about growing up with the language. I interviewed one of the of the Gaelic speakers at the workshop, Margie Beaton. Beaton grew up in on an island in western Scotland.
