The Fundamental Athlete Podcast is a resource for any athlete that feels trapped into mental health stigmas. Athletes go through challenges whether it be physical, emotional, teamwise, but the mental challenges are not talked about enough. Mental health when it comes to athletics, lacks a proper definition which leaves room for outside judgment. Because of this, athletes are forced into thinking that the mental challenges that exists are irrelevant. This stigma couldn't be farther away from the truth. This podcast gives expert coaches and players a platform to talk through these issues and offer their expertise on how it gets better. This episode offers insight on how to deal with negativity when it comes to sports. Sports are such a pressurized field that negativity and critiques are frequent occurrences for athletes. It's important to find ways to separate yourself away from the negativity and find ways where you can appreciate the grind. We all go through shit and sports are a way to learn how to deal with things the right way, don't let others take away your joy. Be grateful, be happy, and be appreciative of your blessings because a bad day is coming for us all and every moment you get to live out your life as an athlete is precious and a blessing.
