No justification for women and child abductions - UNICEF

UN childrens agency - UNICEF is working with partners in the Greater Pi Bor Administrative Area to ensure women and children who have been released following abduction in recent conflict get psychosocial support. UNICEF is working with local partners to provide the necessary support in trauma healing. UNICEF’s South Sudan Emergency Specialist Emma Tuck stresses the need to break the cycle of violence against women and children and build systems that ensure implementation of provisions in the convention on the rights of child that was ratified by the country.
