Colette Walker would describe herself as a quiet mouse that turned into a lioness that roared.
Despite living with sight loss, she has been involved in campaigning for many years and has now formed her own political party to fight for equality and accessibility for blind and partially sighted people.
RNIB Connect Radio's Allan Russell spoke to Collette to learn more about her story and why she wants more visually impaired people to get involved in the world of politics.
