Members of the Public Barred from Hearing Court's Candid Discussion of Daybell Case #LoriVallow #ChadDaybell

Mar 01, 2023, 07:12 PM

In the ongoing Daybell case, a surprising hearing was held to discuss the results of DNA testing that could potentially affect the jurors. The public was asked to leave the courtroom during the hearing. The testing focused on hair evidence, which was speculated to have come from duct tape used to transport JJ's remains. Following the discussion, the hearing was postponed due to the late-revealed report. During the pretrial conference, the defense motioned to sever Daybell's case from Vallow's, citing insufficient time to prepare for the trial. The prosecution challenged the mental health defense in Vallow's case. The trial is currently scheduled for April 3rd in Ada County, Idaho.
