Exclusive: The Full Court Proceeding Where Lori Vallow and Chad Daybell's Cases are Severed

In a significant turn of events in the triple murder case involving Lori Vallow and Chad Daybell, the Idaho judge Steven Boyce has ruled to sever their cases, with Vallow Daybell's trial proceeding as planned on April 3 and Chad Daybell's to be delayed. The couple, both of whom have pleaded not guilty to charges of murder, conspiracy, and grand theft, are accused of killing Vallow Daybell's children and Chad Daybell's previous wife, and face the possibility of the death penalty if convicted. Prosecutors had previously pushed for the couple to be tried together, but the judge noted the DNA evidence (a hair found at the crime scene) wasn't given to the defense attorneys in a timely manner, and Chad Daybell's attorney argued he needed to have his own testing done on the hair because the results could be crucial to Daybell's defense.
