Load management is becoming a big problem for the NBA. As more NFL players seek out guaranteed contracts, is it possible that they're never going to get it because NFL owners are seeing so many NBA players missing games for no reason?
Lamar Jackson and other NFL players deserve guaranteed contracts.

Load management has become a big thing for NBA players and teams. Unfortunately, fans are left either watching an inferior product on TV or paying for tickets to the game only for star players to be sitting out.
While it's a trendy topic to discuss right now, what hasn't been talked about enough, in my opinion, is the impact of NBA players' load management on NFL contracts. Specifically for black NBA players, do they have a duty to look out for their NFL brothers? To make sure that they don't do anything that's going to keep the NFL guys from getting the guaranteed deals that they deserve since they're more likely to suffer serious injuries and have shorter careers?
In this episode, I discuss how, even though it may not seem very likely, NBA players can play a part in helping NFL players get guaranteed contracts. I contrast that with how black Americans in everyday life have to behave in the workplace so that they don't make it harder for those coming behind them to succeed, given the limited opportunities that seem to be available, especially in leadership positions.
Legends from the past made sacrifices for the greater good. Is it too big to ask today's players to do the same?
