Kerosene dreams

"Taken at a macro level, this field recording with its regular pulses of planes landing and taken off has a regularity and slow rhythm to it that reminded me of the heartbeat of the airport, when extended out over a long enough timeframe.

"This inspired the low, steady bass pulse in the composition, which represents the relentless, steady flow of air traffic, while a blend of synth lines mimic the sounds of aircraft engine (with added melodic content) - the high-end arpeggiated Buchla line towards the end of the piece adds a dreamlike quality to this sonic representation of the lifeblood of an airport."
