Many of these shooters have espoused extremist views, often targeting specific groups such as racial minorities, religious groups, or members of the LGBTQ+ community. Despite efforts to curb gun violence and hate crimes, the problem persists, and innocent lives continue to be lost. Addressing these issues will require a comprehensive approach that addresses not only access to firearms but also the underlying factors that contribute to the rise of hate and extremism in the United States.
