Common sensory overload

"Vocal samples can be really fun to work with in musical pieces. This is what stood out to me in this particular field recording. There was a lot vocal material to choose from that included interesting phrases and ideas that were very thought-provoking. I wanted the vocals to sort of lead the piece and have the music moving around them to create a dreamlike feel to them that lingered, representing how thoughts can move around in the mind."
