"I love this sample of the Colin Hunter Bastille Market -- the sounds of the voices calling out is so powerful -- they're trying to create sales, and they're trying to sell food, so fundamental. Working with this piece, I time stretched it so that the sounds are drawn out as if they continue live for a time. I also chopped up the sample through an interesting M4L device in Ableton to give the sample a granularity and gnarliness that would echo the condition of that outdoor, human-scale market."
