"I really thought about the ambience of the original recording , the setting and what kind of memories it triggered.
I wanted the track to be really earthy with acoustic instruments and singing.
A song if you like.
It reminded me of the feeling you get when meeting a fellow traveller, a kindred spirit, which, at the time, seems so improbable in the grand scheme of things.
The words came as the song developed. A real love story, a chance meeting on life’s open road.
