Community Spirit is a new three-part podcast series from Irish Distillers that shines a light on the communities the company is proud to be part of. From Midleton in Co. Cork to Dublin’s inner city, we hear from the founders of three remarkable community groups who all go above and beyond to make a real difference.
In the series, we meet Proinsias Ó’Tuama of Clean Coasts Ballynamona, Evanne Kilmurray of Inner City Enterprise and Kevin Aherne of fEast Cork as they share stories of how their respective passions for the environment, helping others and supporting local producers helped spark collective movements that deliver positive impact within their locality and beyond.
In episode three, Kevin Aherne, chef and founder of Sage restaurant in Midleton, Co Cork shares how his passion for East Cork and its talented local producers led him to establish fEast, a week-long food and drinks festival showcasing and celebrating the best the East Cork region has to offer.
