Fang, the founder of Yachting Singapore, joined Yachting International Radio to chat about his career and the yachting industry in Singapore.
Fang served in the Singapore Navy for 15 years before starting his yacht agency in 1997, which began as a rib-building business. He eventually began servicing super yachts and attending boat shows.
The yachting industry has grown in Singapore since then, with new marinas being developed to accommodate more yachts, both local and visiting. This growth has also attracted big brokerage houses to establish shops in Singapore and the region. The demand for marina development is still largely local and regional, but Fang believes international investment will increase as the industry grows.
