Derry City's title hopes took a major dent tonight after losing 1 nil to Sligo Rovers. With Sligo's Stefan Radosavljevic putting a close range effort past Brian Maher. With the Derry players surrounding Referee Harvey claiming it was scored with an arm.
With Shamrock Rovers unexpectedly drawing away to UCD it gave Derry the perfect opportunity to close the gap. To compound matters even more a penalty for Derry City was waved away by Mr Harvey after Sligos goal Keeper Brush flattened Cian Kavanagh & Ronan Boyce received a 2nd Yellow Card on the 82nd minute.
Whilst it's not mathematically over, Derry City have a mountain to climb to win the league.
