Percy Jackson and the Olympians season 1, episode 3, “We Visit the Garden Gnome Emporium” (00:09:07)

  • What were our overall thoughts on this episode?
  • We loved seeing the attic and tried to spot as many items here as possible.
  • The Oracle is SO CREEPY and we know Percy would agree.
  • Why did we get so excited about the green smoke?
  • Chiron can’t fault Percy’s logic for picking Annabeth.
  • Poor Grover has to shovel poop as his punishment for defying Dionysus.
  • Did Percy choose Grover to go on the quest to keep his enemy closer?
  • Was that really Blackjack?
  • We get an explanation of drachmas, and we’re dying for some of our own.
  • The wings coming out of the shoe’s laces was amazing to watch.
  • Why didn’t Percy choose Luke for his quest?
  • Annabeth says goodbye to Thalia’s tree and Percy is NOT having it.
  • The tension between Percabeth is going to make their friendship even more rewarding down the line.
  • Did you realize which monster that woman in the convenience store was?
  • Even Mrs. Dodds knows Annabeth is a badass!
  • We got some major Percy Jackson musical vibes from that scene in the woods.
  • Uncle Ferdinand’s backstory is going to be relevant VERY soon.
  • Why didn’t they mention how demigods shouldn’t have phones?
  • We’re really loving how much more we’re getting from Annabeth in this episode.
  • Percy is NOT happy that Grover was Annabeth’s protector first.
  • Saved by the burger!
  • Medusa is giving off good vibes, to be honest.
  • Though her house is giving Hansel and Gretel.
  • We get Medusa’s story from the Gorgon herself, and Annabeth doesn’t like what she has to say about Athena.
  • Medusa feels protective of Percy and offers him a choice, but he dips before he gets stuck between a rock and a hard place.
  • WHY WOULD YOU RUN INTO THE BASEMENT?
  • Did anyone else forget Medusa had snakes for hair?
  • Annabeth’s impromptu plan is pretty amazing.
  • Why doesn’t Uncle Ferdinand’s statue look afraid like the others?
  • Grover calls out both of his friends for their recent antics and attitude.
  • This is definitely the start of some kind of friendship between Percy and Annabeth.
  • What do you mean, Percy IS impertinent.
  • We’re obsessed with the consensus song.
  • We totally were not expecting to see Hermes at the end of the episode!
  • That song playing during the end credits is absolutely perfect.
Feedback (01:39:12)

  • Toni thinks we should get a renewal for 14 more seasons, and we totally agree.
