Neglected Tropical Diseases burdening South Sudan's weak health delivery system

South Sudan has up to 19 of the 21 diseases classified as Neglected Tropical Diseases by the World Health Organization. The country has limited health facilities and they are faced with a shortage of workers. Neglected Tropical Diseases are mostly found in remote areas that have no access to health facilities. Yak Yak Bol is the Director for Preventive Chemotherapy and Neglected Tropical Diseases in the health ministry. 
He tells Radio Miraya that the government must invest more in combatting Neglected Tropical Diseases so that they do not disrupt the lives of vulnerable people.
