Soprano Elona Krasavtseva will be showcasing a Tribute to Sarah Brightman Feb. 21 at The Palladium in Downtown St. Pete. Radio St. Pete INSIDER news director Nanette Wiser caught up with the talented musician and producer and her love Andrew Lloyd Webber’s musical scores from Phantom of the Opera to Evita and Cats.
Born and raised in Kyiv, the capital of Ukraine, Elona now lives near St. Petersburg. The tribute features not only the classics but Brightman’s beloved pop and rock songs such as Whiter Shade of Pale, Dust in the Wind, Scarborough Fair and Schubert’s Ava Mari. Webber’s Pie Jesu will be performed with Lumina Youth Choir of Tampa with artistic director Deah McReynolds. There will be dance, stunning visual and lights extravaganza, elaborate costumes all directed by Global Music Awards sinner Alex Nakhimosvky.
