Paris Saint-Germain began the knockout stage with an impressive 2-0 home victory in their round of 16 first leg tie against Real Sociedad, with Kylian Mbappe and Bradley Barcola on the scoresheet. Meanwhile, Lazio surprised 10 man Bayern in Rome, winning 1-0 at the Stadio Olimpico, thanks to a Ciro Immobile penalty.
