Episode 2655,   Mar 04, 09:39 AM

We spotlight women who are helping us understand the diverse lives of South Sudanese through research. Marlin John Serefino delves into traditional healing and spirituality among the Faratit communities of Western Bahr El Ghazal. She speaks about how community members negotiate the tensions between different faiths and cultural changes while remaining rooted in their traditional practices and beliefs. Marlin's research involves the personal experiences of her research subjects, interweaving scholarly research and storytelling in an informative way. Her research was supported by the Rift Valley Institute as part of the South Sudan Women Researchers' Network programme.
