1408 with Jeff Zhang

Episode 222,   Mar 13, 08:00 AM

Film critic and podcaster Jeff Zhang (Strange Harbors) joins Wampler and Vespe to chat about 1408, both the original King short story and the surprisingly good 2007 adaptation starring John Cusack and Samuel L. Jackson. We dive into both, decide which of the bazillion attempted endings is the actual best one, figure out if we could live in a place with a bad history, and even touch on the complete wasteland that is the entertainment blogging world these days.

1408 is a Stephen King short story that proves you don't need a whole hotel to be haunted to be scary, just one "evil fucking room." This is a banger of a short story and a really good movie that is often overlooked (ahem) in favor of his other haunted hotel story.
