Charity Chief Exec's Customer Update 23/03/2024

Season 2, Episode 430,   Mar 23, 09:00 AM

Each week we sit down with Matt Stringer, CEO of RNIB, to look at some of the big stories coming from the UK sight loss charity.

This week Matt started by talking about the launch of the ‘Accessibility of Products and Services to Disabled People’ report by the Women and Equalities Committee (WEC) with recommendations  that the Financial Conduct Authority should work with the retail banking sector and organisations and charities such as RNIB to ensure all banks embrace inclusive design from the outset.

Then to the announcement of the finalists for the RNIB See Differently Awards which will be held in London later in May.  Full details of all the finalists can be found on the RNIB website.

Matt ended this week’s update with news of the RNIB’s presence at the annual CSUN conference in California which brings together some of the biggest names in accessible technology from across the globe with Stevie Wonder not only having a go with some of the technology on the RNIB stand but also chatting with our very own Dave Williams.
