Charity Chief Exec's Customer Update 30/03/2024

Season 2, Episode 443,   Mar 30, 09:00 AM

Each week we sit down with Matt Stringer, CEO of RNIB, to look at some of the big stories coming from the UK sight loss charity.

This week Matt started by talking about how the RNIB including our Chair of Trustees Anna Tylor along with Matt helped to influence the BBC to reverse the proposed cutting of five minutes from Radio 4’s IN Touch programme which was due to happen with the changes coming in on 1 April 2024 to the Radio 4 schedule.

Then to the fantastic news that RNIB Connect Radio has been nominated for the Community Station of the year Award in the 2024 ARIAS, winners will be announced in a ceremony in London on Tuesday 7 May 2024.

With Matt ending this week’s update with the partnership between Canon Europe and the RNIB on the ‘World Unseen’ accessible photography exhibition at Somerset House from 5-7 April and online via the Canon VIEW website - https://www.canon.co.uk/view/
