Episode 2742,   May 23, 09:09 AM

As the world marks the International Day to End Obstetric Fistula, health professionals in South Sudan say awareness is key in avoiding women suffering from the condition that affects maternal health.
Reverend Janet Michael, Director of Nursing and Midwifery at the national Ministry of Health, and Manuela Modong, a Gender, Youth and Women's Health practitioner with AMREF Health Africa are in conversation with the Miraya Breakfast Show's Irene Lasu.
They tell her that child marraiage and early pregnancy makes girls and women vulnerable to obstetric fistula. They also urge expecting mothers to seek help with professionals to avoid prolonged pregnancy that increases the risk of obstetric fistula.
