Eileen Navarro, Gulfport Community Players on "Lunchtime Conversations"

Episode 7598,   May 30, 10:00 AM

RadioStPete.comINSIDER news director Nanette Wiser caught up with the Gulfport Community Players' Eileen Navarro and talked about their history and the upcoming play  "And Baby Makes Seven."  Paula Vogel's bizarre dark dramedy where the lines between love and madness crisscross is not their typical comedic musical fare (Gilligan's Island, Crimson Sails). The play runs 6/6-6/16 Thurs.-Sat. 8pm and Sat.-Sun. 2pm at the Catherine Hickman Theater. https://gulfportcommunityplayers.org/

Since 2001, Eileen Navarro has been the president of the Gulfport Community Players and a volunteer/member since 1993 serving in many roles - board member, secretary, treasurer, and elected president in 2001...the office I've held ever since. She was instrumental in getting the Gulfport Community Players their 501 c 3 status in 2003 and raising funds for the acquisition of our headquarters, the Back Door Theater. A generous benefactor, paid off our mortgage, so the Gulfport Community Players own their building. Her professional career was in marketing and communications. She held positions at the Delaware County Daily Times and was the Senior Marketing Director for Ethan Allen Furniture and moved to Florida, where she owned and operated Designer Consignor shops in Gulfport and South Pasadena.
