WHAT A WEIRD WEEK
Season 9, Episode 31, Aug 03, 11:18 AM
This weekend we are back in the Labyrinth to look back on the week in pop culture, and it was a “banger” as the kids say. We dive into the controversy surrounding the opening of the 2024 Olympic Games in Paris and discuss how people will be people when it comes to being offended these days.
Joe Rogan’s new Netflix stand-up special, “Burn The Boats,” is premiering live tonight from his comedy club in Austin, Texas, “The Mothership of Comedy.” It’s his first special in nearly a decade, and we’re curious to see how it turns out. Stay tuned for our reviews next week!
Steph brings us the latest news from the world of entertainment and pop culture. Why are hosts shying away from the Oscars? Kamala Harris had a rally in Atlanta that didn’t resonate with everyone, including some in the rap community. Jeff Portnoy of Barstool Sports gave his first perfect 10.0 to a pizza place in Massachusetts in his popular “One Bite, Everyone Knows The Rules” viral video. With The Boys wrapping up its latest season, we look forward to Season 2 of Gen V to keep the storyline going until The Boys Season 5 in 2026. Plus, Tim and Jeff debate the new reboot of Battlestar Galactica. And RDJ, returns to the MCU but he isn’t Iron Mon, he’s Doctor Doom!
