In this episode of Sunshine Sisters, Lynn Lotkowitcz interviews Jaime Mcknight, the one woman show Founder of 501c3 non profit, Pawlicious Poochie Pet Rescue. Born and raised in St.Petersburg, The Sunshine City, she has dedicated her life and the last 14 years to rescuing the old, critically injured, handicap and hospice small dogs from kill shelters all over the state of Florida. No fosters. Not grant or corporate funded. All efforts are grass roots with fundraising done through social media on FB, Instagram, TikTok and local appearances/events.
Pawlicious Poochie Pet Rescue ( PPPR) the mission is simple saving the lives that others will not save due to cost, inability to be adopted due to health or long term care and the seniors. The true under dog is who PPPR moves heaven and earth to save! PPPR's strong presence on social media has made this grass roots rescue a force to be reckoned with saving the most hopeless, getting the vet care desperately needed and finding amazing furever homes locally and out of state. PPPR adopters fly and drive in from all over to adopt with most adopters returning to PPPR to adopt again and again.
Vet care is provided by Skyway Animal Hospital's beloved Dr. C performing life saving surgeries and around the clock critical care. Each case costs the rescue $1500 to $6500 with the most expensive case to date costing the rescue $12,000 to save a little chihuahua critically injured in hit by car incident.
