Science fiction stories can be terrifying because they explore the unknown, often blending futuristic technology, alien lifeforms, and dystopian worlds with deeply human fears. They challenge our sense of reality by imagining scenarios where humanity is vulnerable, whether through the rise of artificial intelligence, extraterrestrial invasions, or catastrophic scientific experiments gone wrong. The fear comes not only from the speculative elements but from the unsettling idea that these scenarios, while fictional, might one day be possible, making us question the limits of human control and the dangers of our own advancements.
