Historic Kenwood's Neighborhood Association hosts Bungalowfest in downtown St. Pete Feb. 1, 2025 from 10am-4pm. Nanette Wiser spoke with chairperson/HKNA president Mandissa (Dissa) Marshall. The Southwest Florida’s premier architectural home tour celebrates St. Pete’s resilience as BungalowFest 2024 returns for its 26th season. This year's tour showcases homes and multiple Additional Dwelling Units (ADUs) that emphasize our urban revival and the growing trend of living large in small spaces. The 26th Annual Bungalow Fest will highlight Craftsman Bungalows, Frame Vernacular, Prairie, Mid-Century, Modern homes, and more with a special glimpse into spaces beyond the bungalow. In partnership with CASK Construction, this year's featured home will present an ADU nestled among the trees, featuring a salvaged mural from the previous garage. Check-in and registration begin at St. Petersburg High School at 2501 5th Ave. N. Stroll at your own pace or use the free continuous Trolleys, which transport guests throughout the neighborhood to view the selected Tour Homes.
BungalowFest draws hundreds of visitors each year, and the neighborhood is delighted to again welcome everyone to the beautiful brick lined streets of this uniquely significant area of St. Petersburg, which is listed on the National Registry of Historic Places. Bring your family and your friends to experience this eclectic arts-filled neighborhood encompassing 375 acres adjacent to downtown situated between Central Ave. and 9th Ave. North and between I-275 and 34 St. North. Artful and historic modern living in a Green City. Info/Tickets https://www.historickenwood.org/
