Lunar New Year starts Wednesday, Jan. 29 and goes on during February. Let's Go Guide host Nanette Wiser loves celebrating this holiday in San Diego, San Francisco and now here! Chinese New Year is one of the most important holidays in Chinese culture. It's a festival that celebrates the beginning of a new year on the traditional lunisolar Chinese calendar. Marking the end of winter and the beginning of spring. If you missed last weekend's the Lunar New Year Asian Mega Street Food Night Market at the St. Petersburg Distillery, many Asian restaurants host celebratory meals in February.
