Podcast host, artist and gallery owner Brenda McMahon introduces us to artist and activist, Shelly Steck-Reale.  Sometimes words fall short. That’s when visual arts have a profound ability to step in and open viewers up to a gut level perspective previously inaccessible. That's what Shelly Steck Reale believes. Her constant questioning led her to secure a degree in Philosophy. She combines that deep thinking with her love of ceramic sculpture. Today, Steck-Reale uses ceramic sculpture as a vehicle for social dialogue. She explores issues of the day, be they gender, environmental or political issues, to examine and question cultural norms. Sharing these ideas fuels her process and keeps her going. Stedk-Reale trusts the work leads to deeper discussions and greater awareness of our ultimate connectedness.  https://shellysteckreale.com/
