The waterfront campus hosted a weekend of hands-on discovery, drawing thousands to explore science, technology, engineering, art, and math. Highlights included interactive exhibits, ocean research vessel tours, coding lessons, and the Junior Scientists program, which encouraged early engagement in STEAM fields.

Professor Jennifer O’Brien Named Finalist for UK Alumni Award
Dr. Jennifer O’Brien, associate professor of psychology, is a finalist for the prestigious Study UK Alumni Award, celebrating her impactful research on dementia prevention. O’Brien leads a major clinical trial with a $44.5 million National Institute on Aging grant.

St. Petersburg Conference on World Affairs
This important event, starting February 11, gathers global leaders and citizens to address pressing world challenges. Thanks to Vice Provost Thomas Smith for his leadership.

OLLI Open House
The Osher Lifelong Learning Institute invites the community to their open house on February 13. Dr. O’Brien will deliver a keynote on “Keeping Our Brains Healthy in Later Life,” and attendees can learn more about upcoming classes for senior adults.
