This composition reimagines the call of the blacksmith tree frog as illuminating the night sky in an ecological park in Brazil, as if the night were otherwise silent, and the frogs were painting the sky like a canvas with their calls.
Four channels of heavily-effected, sparkling frog calls interplay with one another, as the "real" frog calls periodically fade up and down, adding a dreamlike rhythmic pulse into the piece.
The piece was composed entirely on a Torso S-4 sampler, and every sound is derived from the original source recording.
