Let's Go! Sunken Gardens Celebrates Valentine's Day & Birthday

Sunken Gardens host Jennifer Tyson previews the Valentine's Day weekend celebration and birthday of Sunken Gardens. On this day in 1911, George Turner and his sweetheart, Eula, purchased the sinkhole that would later become Turner's Sunken Gardens. Valentine's Day also happens to be George Turner Sr.'s birthday. Happy Birthday, Mr. Turner!  "Big thanks go out to the Turner's granddaughter, Kathy Lee, for loaning us this gorgeous 1906 wedding photo of our founders. Ages 25 and 19, George and Eula dreamt of a life planting shade trees and enjoying oranges from their family grove," says Tyson.
