"My composition “Red Square” for the Sonic Heritage Project is based on a field recording made in Moscow at the State Historical Museum. The promo recording and tourist guide voices coming from the Red Square loud speakers were woven into the layered electronic world I imagined, using tape loops that I created specifically for this project.
"I was interested in how ones own inner dialogue and the dialogue coming from the Red Square loud speaker might mix to create a new temporary reality. Moments like these can seem surreal when what we know and the unexpected are merged. Like in a dreamlike state, I am hoping that you the listener might let your imagination take you away to the Red Square."
