Tesla CEO Elon Musk announced plans to double the company's U.S. vehicle production within the next two years.

This ambitious commitment came on March 11, 2025, shortly after the United States President publicly said he would purchase a Tesla as a show of support for the electric vehicle manufacturer and its embattled CEO.

Musk explicitly framed this production expansion as a demonstration of support for Republican policies and confidence in America's economic future.
