An extraordinary recording from the hill at the top of Tallinn's Old Town. At 5pm the carillon of bells at Alexander Nevsky cathedral rings out. The cathedral has eleven bells cast in Saint Petersburg, the largest of which weighs about 16 tons, more than the other ten combined, and sounds incredible. Following the carillon, we head inside and catch a session of rhythmic, sung orthodox prayers.
