GOOD DEEDS: Do Good Day - The Front Porch St. Petersburg (C3)

RadioStPete participated in Do Good Day at Fergs Sports Bar in downtown St. Pete March 29, interviewing some of the 35 non-profits sharing their mission and how you can volunteer and donate. Join Good Deeds host Nanette Wiser in making every day a random act of kindness by getting involved with these and other organizations making a difference in our community.  In this episode, we talk about those supporting youth initiatives and health in our community. Meet Lolita Dash Pitts, Executive Director of The Front Porch St. Petersburg Youth Making Economic Impact (YMEI) is a program promoting self-sustainability among individuals, particularly youth and young adults, as well as businesses and communities, by providing educational opportunities, training, and fostering collaborative partnerships.  They work with youth on entrepreneurship, resume writing, health and healing, on-the-job training and marketing. Front Porch helps youth achieve their dreams and serves those ages 12-17 who reside in the Front Porch and Midtown communities of South St. Petersburg. They also train health professionals who provide direct services or interact with patients and families who are disadvantaged due to environmental, economic and/or social circumstances due to health disparities. www.frontporchcda.org
